The Salt Water Grille concept was born on Independence Day in 1961. It was the brainchild of famed Hawaiian surfer Clay Herrema, a U.S. Marine. The first location was modest, with just a few tables in a converted diner. However, two principles that founded the Grille in 1961 remain true of every Salt Water Grille location today – great food and equally impressive views. Today, Salt Water Grille restaurants overlook the coasts of both the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans and other scenic locations between. While we stretch from sea to shining sea, each location remains committed and the recipes specialized to its local community.
At Salt Water Grille, we aspire to create the finest experience for our guests by combining the highest quality steaks and seafood, with exceptional service in a cosmopolitan and entertaining atmosphere.
We are committed to:
Creating “Guests for Life” that are loyal to the Salt Water Grille brand.
Providing a positive, safe and supportive work environment in which hospitality-minded employees are developed, trained and rewarded.
Continuous improvement and company growth.
Fostering lasting relationships with vendors, business associates, and communities where we do business.
